In post since 2011, Mr Jackson leads the Canadian Ice Service (CIS), a division of the Meteorological Service of Canada (MSC), the leading authority for information about ice in Canada's navigable waters. With ice being so central to life in Canada in a variety of different ways, Mr Jackson’s role influences commercial, security and defence aspects of national policy.
